Trimble announced its latest product release at this year’s AUVSI Unmanned Systems Conference and Exhibition—the Trimble BD935-INS module.

The compact module features precision GNSS and an integrated 3D Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) inertial sensor package. It augments real-time precise positioning with 3D orientation, and offers simple connectivity and configuration capabilities. This makes it possible for system integrators and OEMs to add GNSS and attitude to specialized or custom hardware solutions.

Part of the company’s GNSS OEM portfolio, the BD935-INS is well suited for applications that call for both RTK and orientation in a compact package. It also features triple frequency for GPS and GLONASS constellations, along with dual frequency for BeiDou and Galileo.

BD935-INS is designed to provide fast, reliable RTK initialization for 1-2 centimeter positioning. It can also deliver high accuracy GNSS and DGNSS positions in challenging areas, including tunnels, urban canyons and other GNSS-denied environments.

Trimble also announced its new BX935-INS during this year’s show. The BX935-INS is an environmentally rugged enclosure for OEM or system-level integration and houses the BD935-INS module. This makes it easy to install and allows for immediate access to high-rate position and accurate data for many different applications.

The company expects both products to be available in the third quarter through Trimble’s Integrated Technologies Precision GNSS Sales Channel.
