Altavian recently introduced the Nova F7200 AE, the latest model in its Nova line of fixed-wing unmanned aircraft systems. The UAS is designed to launch and land on open water.
To make maritime operations possible, the amphibious drone features water proofed fuselage and systems, according to the company website. The UAS, which can be hand launched from a boat and thenretrieved in open water, can fly in high winds and over long distances.
