Delair-Tech recently partnered with Micasense to target the precision agriculture market.

As part of the agreement the Micasense RedEdge sensor will be integrated into the long range DT18 and DT26X unmanned aircraft systems, according to a news release, combining advanced technology for both data acquisition and UAS flying operations.

The sensor’s spectral bands measure the reflectance of a plant at different wavelengths, according to the release. These bands have been specifically chosen to extract useful biophysical index from crop monitoring. The sensor also allows a ground sample distance of 8 cm/pixel per bands at 120 m (400 ft) AGL.
