Sierra Nevada Corp. recently acquired Kutta Technologies Inc., expanding its offerings in the unmanned market.

Kutta has 15 years of experience in the unmanned industry and specializes in command/control, manned-unmanned teaming, visualization and airspace management/deconfliction, according to a news release. The company is located in Phoenix, and will continue operations there will supporting Sierra Nevada’s Integrated Missions Systems business area in Hagerstown Maryland and Huntsville Alabama.

This acquisition will expand Sierra Nevada’s products and capabilities, providing customers “with a comprehensive set of unmanned system control technology, magnetic wave radios, manned-unmanned teaming technologies and national air space deconfliction technology,” according to the release.
