uAvionix, a leading developer of communications, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) equipment for UAVs, has teamed up with CubePilot, a prominent autopilot platform provider. This collaboration paves the way for CubePilot’s extensive global reseller network to distribute the comprehensive George Autopilot Ecosystem and integration kits developed by uAvionix.
This partnership capitalizes on CubePilot’s widespread installation base of its Cube autopilot system, renowned for its open and innovative architecture coupled with the reliability of certifiable DAL-C hardware. The George Autopilot Ecosystem, named after the Cube’s advanced capabilities, is designed to cater to a wide range of UAV operations, providing an all-in-one solution that includes the George autopilot, precision uAvionix GPS, microLink CNPC radios, and essential connectors and antennas.
Christian Ramsey, President of uAvionix, highlighted the historical collaboration between the two firms, emphasizing the seamless integration and reliability of their combined technologies. This relationship has already seen the integration of uAvionix’s 1090MHz ADS-B receivers into CubePilot’s offerings, demonstrating the synergy between the companies’ products.
Philip Rowse, the owner of CubePilot, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership’s potential to empower their reseller network. With more than 90 resellers worldwide, this agreement enables them to offer a lightweight, efficient, and powerful UAV system to customers seeking high-quality, integrated solutions for commercial and governmental applications.
The agreement also grants CubePilot resellers access to uAvionix’s portfolio of both non-certified and certified UAS products. This includes the aviation-grade truFYX WAAS GPS, the ping200X transponder, and the pingStation3 ground receiver, among others. These certified avionics components are expected to streamline the type certification process for UAV operators by leveraging existing TSO certifications.
