Final Call for State & Future of GEOINT Abstracts

Today (June 29, 2018) is the deadline to submit an abstract to be considered for USGIF’s 2019 State & Future of GEOINT Report. Don’t miss the chance to share your insights and be recognized as a GEOINT Community thought leader.

If you wish to pitch an article for consideration in the 2019 report, please submit by COB today a Word document including:

  • A proposed article title
  • An abstract of no more than 1 page
  • Names, titles, and contact information of at least three authors. Each writing team should represent a minimum of three organizations.

USGIF’s annual State and Future of GEOINT Report provides the GEOINT Community an opportunity to assess the current state of the profession and look ahead to the technologies and tradecraft of the future. This report would not be possible without volunteer authors from government, industry, and academia.

Submit abstracts to SFOG@usgif.org no later than COB today.

Writing teams will be notified no later than July 20 whether their article has been selected to progress to the manuscript phase. If selected, manuscript first drafts will be due September 4.

The annual State and Future of GEOINT report is a collection of articles intended for use by all GEOINT practitioners. This unclassified document contains a series of concise descriptions of problems, achievements, and emerging issues and technologies as a guide to better understand the global GEOINT mission — whether you work in the public, commercial, federal, civilian, defense, intelligence, or national security space.

Article topics are discussed and drafted by groups of contributors through a series of USGIF-facilitated sessions. All members of the broad GEOINT Community to include industry, academia, and government, are welcomed and encouraged to participate and write for the report.
