Kearfott Corporation has received a final determination from the United States Department of State that its T24 SeaNav Inertial Navigation System is now subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) administered by the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and not the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) administered by the Department of State.

“Receiving this determination for the T24 SeaNav will allow us to really streamline our international sales process,” said Kearfott Product Line Manager for Sea Navigation Systems Andy Continisio. “Kearfott and our customers will now be able to obtain export licenses much more quickly while incurring less cost in connection with the application and compliance process.”

The SeaNav is an inertial navigation system for surface and subsea marine vehicles and platforms that provides accurate position, velocity, and attitude information in navigation, pointing, and stabilization applications.

T24 SeaNav offers the optimal form factor for autonomous underwater vehicles requiring navigation-grade performance; it has an established performance track record, according to Kearfott.

Kearfott’s products guide spacecraft and strategic missiles; navigate autonomous undersea vehicles; provide navigation, pointing, and weapon fire control for ground radars, mobile and towed artillery, and military transport vehicles; flight control actuators for missiles, UAVs, helicopters, and military and commercial aircraft; and precision, ruggedized components that measure angle and position in a wide range of applications.
