GeoCue has introduced its TrueView 641, a new NDAA-compliant airborne LiDAR sensor, at INTERGEO 2025. The announcement positions the 641 as a more accessible, engineering-grade option for users who require export-safe hardware for U.S. domestic, SLED, and international projects.

Key features:
- The TrueView 641 offers long-range performance (up to 400 meters) with less-than-4 mm accuracy in ideal conditions.
- Field of view of 120°, capturing wide swaths per pass.
- Capable of up to 6 returns per pulse, enabling better penetration through vegetation and complex scene structure.
- Integrates a 26 MP global-shutter camera, synchronized with the LiDAR system to deliver simultaneous imagery and point-cloud data.
- It is designed to be compatible with LP360 Drone software for processing, QA/QC, and deliverable generation.
GeoCue says the TrueView 641 is intended to “fill a small gap in our portfolio” by offering a cost-accessible, NDAA-compliant sensor option without sacrificing performance. The company partnered with Triple-IN Laser Technic, a German firm, to design the underlying LiDAR module.
For UAV and autonomous platform operators:
- The TrueView 641’s NDAA compliance removes export restrictions for U.S.-based procurement in domestic or government projects, enabling broader use in infrastructures, utilities, and survey contracts.
- Its specifications (400 m range, <4 mm accuracy, 6 returns, wide FOV) make it a viable sensor for corridor mapping, forestry, infrastructure, and powerline inspection missions.
- Integrated imaging and LiDAR help reduce payload complexity, align data streams at capture time, and simplify post-processing.
- Compatibility with LP360 Drone ensures a cohesive workflow from data capture to deliverables.
GeoCue states that deliveries are expected by the end of 2025 for orders placed early.
