Hexagon’s Positioning Intelligence Attains Major Milestone in the Drive to Safe Autonomy

Hexagon’s Positioning Intelligence division today announced the latest milestone achieved on the road to safe autonomy. The company’s ground-breaking initiative is on a mission to develop functionally safe positioning technologies for fully autonomous vehicles and other applications.

As part of the company’s firm commitment to this mission, a third-party audit has been completed that confirms process compliance with key automotive specifications ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 26262 Functional Safety Design Assurance. This is an important step toward the development of functionally safe new technology that meets the exceptional safety standards set by the automotive industry.
