OWT Global, a provider of solutions and services in the fields of C5ISR, UxS, and Air Domain Awareness & Defense, and Echodyne Corp, known for its high-performance commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) radars, have announced a strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to develop and market next-generation situational awareness solutions, leveraging the strengths of both companies to enhance OWT Global’s service offerings.
Echodyne’s radars are distinguished by their ultra-low size, weight, and power (SWaP), offering electronically scanned array (ESA) performance at COTS pricing. This innovation enables a significant expansion of situational awareness capabilities for deployed forces and assets. Through integration with OWT Global’s Intelligent Sensing as a Service (ISaaS) platform, the enhanced radar data is set to improve overall system performance.
The partnership will concentrate on refining current capabilities and exploring new application areas. It also introduces a services support model designed to evolve alongside Echodyne’s radar technologies. Key strategic applications highlighted include Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS), C5ISR, UxS operations, and Critical Infrastructure Protection. Each of these areas stands to benefit from the enhanced data accuracy and high-fidelity situational awareness provided by the low-SWaP radars.
Eric Fuller, CEO of OWT Global, emphasized the company’s commitment to leveraging emerging market products to meet evolving customer needs. “It’s clear to us that Echodyne’s radars provide an accuracy and reliability far beyond existing legacy solutions and enable OWT to bring our customers optimized options to keep pace with the latest threats,” Fuller stated. He expressed enthusiasm about the partnership’s potential to align OWT Global with the foremost capabilities for client missions.
Eben Frankenberg, CEO of Echodyne, highlighted the importance of forming relationships with trusted suppliers as their radars become integral to mission-critical systems. “OWT Global represents deep knowledge of systems and platforms that are being tasked with detecting, tracking, and defeating modern threats like drones,” Frankenberg noted, adding that combining OWT Global’s expertise with Echodyne’s radars creates a formidable offering for end users.
