The Aeryon Labs SkyRanger small unmanned aerial system will provide the aerial images and data capture for Microsoft’s Advanced Patrol Platform, or MAPP, vehicle.
MAPP is designed to give patrol officers quick, easy access to the many things they must keep track of while on the job, including dispatch information, driving directions, a missing persons list, location-based crime bulletins and statistics, suspect history and a voice activated license plate reader, according to a news release.
The SkyRanger sUAS offers the high-quality aerial images officers need to immediately assess a situation, ensure safety on the ground and capture detailed evidence and forensics, according to the release. Integrating aerial images from the SkyRanger with other advanced hardware and software solutions will help provide officers with enhanced awareness, efficiency, mobility and safety.
“Law enforcement organizations throughout the world rely on Aeryon sUAS to collect aerial intelligence wherever and whenever they need it,” said Dave Kroetsch, President and CEO of Aeryon Labs Inc., according to the release “Including SkyRanger within the MAPP vehicle rounds out the comprehensive suite of technologies and highlights the value of aerial intelligence for ground-based personnel.”
