Colorado-based P3 Tech Consulting LLC has partnered with the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) again this year to bring its world-class Law-Tech ConnectTM back to XPONENTIAL.
This co-located one-day immersive educational event, which focuses on uncrewed systems, autonomy and advanced air mobility and related legal topics, will take place on Monday April 22, at the San Diego Convention Center.
Dawn Zoldi, a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, leads the event. After completing 28 years of combined active duty and federal civil service to the Air Force as a Judge Advocate (military lawyer), Associate General Counsel and U.S. Air Force Academy leader, she founded P3 Tech. A licensed attorney, certified drone pilot and globally renowned industry expert, as the company’s CEO, Zoldi leverages her military expertise and corporate know-how to create valuable industry content, ranging from articles for major publications to several highly-successful podcasts such as the popular weekly Dawn of Autonomy podcast on AUVSI channels. (https://www.auvsi.org/tags/dawn-autonomy). Law-Tech Connect is her premier educational line of effort. Since its launch in Orlando 2022, the event has grown exponentially. Last year’s Denver event witnessed a standing-room only crowd.
This year’s agenda covers a broad range of topics including global and State-level drone rules, air taxi standards, space and spectrum, ground and maritime autonomous systems regimes, artificial intelligence and airspace awareness.
An unparalleled speaker line up, composed of commercial, government and academic experts, will speak to these topics. Industry icons, such as Tom Adams (Highpoint Aerotechnologies and CUAS Hub founder), Erin Roessler (Deputy Executive Director for the Northern Plains UAS Test Site), Jerry Hancock (Director of Aviation Safety Solutions and Cybersecurity at Viasat), Lori DeMatteis (CRO of MatrixSpace), and more will discuss today’s hottest techno-legal issues, side-by-side with the top legal minds: Jennifer Richter (Akin Gump), Lisa Ellman (Hogan Lovells), Josh Turner (Wiley Rein) and Tracy L. Reynolds (CDR, USN, U.S. Navy Judge Advocate), to name just a few.
Law-Tech Connect’s tagline is “CLE for Attorneys; Education for Everyone.” For attorney attendees, Zoldi has applied to the California Bar to have the workshop qualify as an accredited Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program (*anticipated 8 California CLE credits, self-certifiable and transferable to other jurisdictions). But Zoldi gears Law-Tech Connect content to reach the broadest audience possible. Uncrewed ecosystem industry leaders, operators, program managers, attorneys, academia, students, government agencies and nonprofits can all benefit from the top-tier knowledge the event provides.
The 2024 event is sponsored by Premium Partners Akin (Gold) and Viasat (Silver) as well as numerous Friends of Law-Tech Connect. Carahsoft, MatrixSpace, the NPUASTS and PromoDrone are sponsoring Scholars Programs to support participation from across a diverse group of academic faculty, students and industry leaders. Scholarship applications are available through the P3 Tech website, Law-Tech Connect page.
The low-price registration fee covers the 8-hour program (which includes 2 meals), a 3-day XPO Hall pass (alone $100+ value) and a pre-event networking social event on Sunday April 21st. Attorneys will also receive proof of attendance. Early bird rates ($249) are available through March 8th. Add-ons include the AUVSI VIP Influencer Reception, which follows the event on Monday evening, and the ability to purchase USI’s drone law textbook authored by Zoldi at cost with a special promotional code.
