TEKEVER has revealed AR6, a new product family that extends the company’s autonomous portfolio into the heavy-lift class for both military and civilian applications. The announcement was made at the Farnborough International Airshow on July 21, 2026.
Designed and built in the UK with UK SME partners, AR6 is positioned as a UK sovereign heavy-lift autonomy solution, with production due to start by the end of 2026 at TEKEVER’s Swindon manufacturing hub.
Filling a Gap in the Heavy-Lift Market
TEKEVER, which has built its reputation as a European leader in ISR platforms, says AR6 is meant to address a gap in the heavy-lift drone segment currently dominated by electric VTOL platforms — systems typically limited to lifting around 100 kg over short distances of just 1 to 5 km.
By drawing on specialist hydraulic and propulsion technology, TEKEVER says AR6 will deliver market-leading payload capacity and endurance, capable of carrying 200 kg over 500 km. The platforms are designed for harsh environments, able to operate in extreme heat and cold with minimal maintenance and sustainment costs.
Civil and Military Applications
TEKEVER intends AR6 to serve both civil and military markets, opening use cases not previously available to heavy-lift electric quadcopters. Civil applications include logistics, offshore operations, medical support, search and rescue, and disaster relief. Military applications include casualty evacuation, forward logistics, and combat wingman concepts, such as the UK’s Apache teaming concept under Project Nyx.
The system combines the new propulsion and lift technology with TEKEVER’s existing capabilities — its “as a service” operations model, rapid design iteration, proprietary autonomy stack, and lessons drawn from operations in Ukraine. The military variant is designed to operate without any reliance on GNSS and will include “Mission Autonomy” features supporting multi-platform swarming, crewed-uncrewed teaming, and survivability.
