The UASTrakker, LLC will launch its Emergency RF Beacon Tracking System for Drones this summer, targeted at maritime rescue as well as search and rescue (SAR) in the wilderness.

Utilizing an IoT edge computer, the system employs UASTrakker-enabled drones to locate emergency distress beacons and provides situational awareness to first responders utilizing its thermal, infrared and daytime cameras. The drone stores the GPS coordinates trail; upon locating the target, it can drop rescue supplies, lower a winch to a person and rescue them using a heavy-winch drone.

The system is compatible with various off-the-shelf drones, including medium-sized Multi-Rotors for short missions, hybrid-electric planes for longer missions and heavy lifters for hard-to-reach areas and rough weather.

The company will be exhibiting at AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2018, May 1-3 in Denver, Colorado, and will be located at booth #3233B.
