Tamagawa Seiki, an advanced inertial sensing technology provider for aerospace, military and automotive applications, is launching a new, low-cost, tactical grade, interferometric Fiber Optic Gyroscope (iFOG) suitable for autonomous driving and mobility applications, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

The TA7774 iFOG features include:

■ Single Axis Closed Loop Fiber Optic Gyro

■ Tactical Grade Accuracy: 0.1deg/h bias and <100ppm scale factor accuracy

■ Cost Effective: Utilizing low-cost, telecom single mode fiber and effective optical fiber winding techniques to reduce overall cost. Equivalent performing FOGs are priced 50% higher, according to the company

■ SPI Digital Interface

■ Stabilized Platform

■ Small Footprint at 85 millimeters square

The IFOG is adaptable for various applications, including autonomous driving or ADAS Systems for passenger cars, commercial fleets, construction vehicles and machines, and agricultural vehicles and machines; as well as for Mobile Mapping Systems (MMS).
