Fixposition xFusion Software Launches on NVIDIA Jetson Platform

Fixposition’s xFusion software is now available for NVIDIA Jetson Orin modules, unlocking advanced Global Positioning across your own hardware. Combining Fixposition’s cutting-edge sensor fusion algorithms with the AI power of Jetson, you can now deploy high-performance positioning in GNSS-challenged environments — all without hardware lock-in.

Fixposition, a leader in vision-enhanced GNSS technology, today announced that its flagship xFusion software is now available on the NVIDIA Jetson platform. This collaboration with NVIDIA represents a pivotal step toward enabling precise, globally available positioning and orientation for AI-powered machines operating in the physical world.

Engineered for seamless deployment into autonomy stacks, xFusion fuses visual, inertial, and GNSS data to deliver highly robust, real-time global position and heading—even in environments where satellite signals or RTK corrections are degraded or absent. With full compatibility across the NVIDIA Jetson family of edge AI modules, xFusion offers developers and OEMs a high-performance, cost-effective pathway to unlock physical AI at scale. Two major OEMs have already integrated or are preparing for mass production using xFusion on Jetson for their mapping systems and autonomous lawn mowers.

“More than 150 robotics and autonomous vehicle companies have integrated Fixposition’s xFusion software through our Vision-RTK 2 sensor — from autonomous lawn mowers and road sweepers to security patrol robots and GPR mapping vehicles,” said Zhenzhong Su, Co-Founder and CEO of Fixposition. “Our vision is to make global positioning universally accessible for all autonomous robots—the Physical AI. Now, with xFusion available on the Jetson platform, we’re one step closer.”

“Our core innovation lies in our deep fusion of vision, IMU, and GNSS data, and our algorithms’ ability to extract maximum value from every data point,” added Lukas Meier, Co-Founder and CTO. “By launching xFusion on the NVIDIA Jetson platform, we’re combining Fixposition’s sensor fusion expertise with NVIDIA’s powerful AI edge computing—bringing real-time global positioning and orientation to robots, drones, and industrial machines everywhere.”

Key Benefits for Developers and OEMs

  • Accelerated Time to Market: Full compatibility with the NVIDIA Jetson family—from Orin Nano to AGX Orin—supports rapid prototyping and deployment.
  • Cost Optimization: xFusion leverages existing GNSS, IMU, camera, and Jetson hardware—no need for specialized silicon or redundant systems.
  • Scalable Integration: xFusion fits easily into autonomy stacks, enabling modular designs for global deployments across a wide range of physical AI applications.
  • Superior Performance: With Jetson’s AI compute power, xFusion achieves real-time global pose estimation—even in GNSS-challenged environments.

Real-World Impact

Fixposition’s xFusion software is already deployed in systems across agriculture, logistics, and construction. One OEM manufacturer of autonomous mowing robots expanded operational zones beyond traditional RTK boundaries using xFusion, while simultaneously reducing overall system complexity and cost.

Unlocking the Next Wave of Physical AI

The synergy between Fixposition’s xFusion software and the NVIDIA Jetson platform opens a new era for physical AI. As shown below, xFusion on Jetson unlocks capabilities that go beyond what conventional sensor fusion platforms can offer:

This launch also marks Fixposition’s entry into the NVIDIA Inception program for startups, expanding its access to NVIDIA’s AI ecosystem and reinforcing its commitment to scalable, resilient localization technologies for autonomy.

At the same time, xFusion continues to deliver outstanding performance on Fixposition’s Vision-RTK 2 sensor. Its tightly integrated GNSS, visual-inertial, and RTK architecture provides centimeter-level global accuracy and reliable heading—even in challenging, dynamic environments. Trusted by OEMs across a wide range of real-world deployments, Vision-RTK 2 is a proven, high-performance solution.

The addition of Jetson support builds on this foundation, introducing powerful on-device AI capabilities while maintaining Fixposition’s signature precision. With xFusion now deployable across the NVIDIA Jetson lineup, developers can accelerate their path to physical AI at scale—without compromise and without delay.

Differentiating Fixposition’s Deep Fusion Approach

Compared to traditional GNSS+IMU systems, xFusion eliminates time accumulated error during GNSS outages, making it ideal for low-speed autonomous systems and GNSS-denied environments. Unlike SLAM-based methods, it requires no pre-mapping and delivers absolute global positioning and heading, ensuring seamless scalability across countries and map standards. Its robust architecture also improves resilience against GNSS, camera, or IMU disturbances—all made possible by Fixposition’s software-defined innovation.

Developer Tools and Support

To ease integration, Fixposition provides reference designs, supported sensor drivers, APIs, libraries, and Docker containers for easy deployment. This toolchain allows developers to onboard rapidly with known hardware components.

The Power of NVIDIA Inception

Fixposition’s inclusion in NVIDIA Inception provides it with strategic access to technical resources and potential co-marketing opportunities. Support received from the program will also help accelerate Fixposition’s roadmap to support a broader range of autonomy applications—from industrial robotics to mobile mapping systems.

Enabling Autonomy at the Edge

Knowing the global position and orientation of a machine is foundational to autonomous operation. Whether navigating a mapped zone or adapting to unknown environments, xFusion enables resilient, real-time localization and spatial awareness where it matters most—on the edge.
